Jack Amiel and Michael Begler’s credits include such films as 'Raising Helen,' The 'Shaggy Dog' and 'Big Miracle.' Now they are getting their hands bloody on the Cinemax TV series 'The Knick,' a Victorian-era medical drama starring Clive Owen and directed by Oscar® winner Steven Soderbergh. Amiel and Begler discuss their influences, the risks they took to break into Hollywood, and the lessons they learned writing on such shows as 'Herman’s Head' and 'Malcolm in the Middle.'
